Coralinepaw was out of camp- Again. It was never a surprise to find the young she-cat wandering further and further away from the safety of camp boundaries. She always claimed that she could care for herself despite being a measly medicine cat apprentice, and she knew that she could! The brown tabby she-cat peered around only to realize something- She had already reached the WindClan border. Woah, she didn't know that she had gone that far! You came out for burdock root. She reminded herself, shaking her pelt as if it would somehow pull her back into reality.

A young cat, a European lynx by the name of Flowingstar, saw Coralinepaw just standing there. Being a cat that was in complete hatred of fighting, he would never attack her and scream at her. The leader of WindClan smiled and padded over. "Hello, I am Flowingstar, the leader of WindClan. What is your name?" asked the male, smiling brightly.

Coralinepaw blinked as she realized that the tom she was speaking to was the leader of WindClan. She'd never actually spoken to him until then. The medicine cat apprentice looked up at him, and, after a few moments, introduced herself,"I'm Coralinepaw, the medicine cat apprentice of ShadowClan." She announced, the tip of her long tail flicking back and forth. Flowingstar seemed friendly. Far friendlier than she'd expected the leader of a clan to be if they spotted an apprentice from an opposing clan near the border of their territory.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, not in a mean way but just a curious way.

Coralinepaw shrugged and looked off to the side in something of an absent manner,"Oh, we'll I was looking for herbs, but then my mind seemed to have slipped away from me for a moment, because I hadn't realized I had gone this far." She admitted, her voice not without embarrassment.

"That's okay. What were you looking for? I'm sure I could sow you where on our territory you could find it if there is none on your own," replied the leader, sitting down and cleaning his fur. Flowingstar looked up, waiting for an answer. A thought came to his mind. She's very pretty... thought the tom, but quickly he punished himself by digging his claws into the ground and bending his paws back, hurting his paws but hiding what he did.

"No thank you." Meowed Coralinepaw politely, shaking her head,""I mean, I don't want to cause you any trouble. I know where I meant to go to find the herb I'm looking for, if only my brain would listen to me." She laughed, although she actually meant it. She could be so oblivious to her surroundings sometimes.

"It won't cause me any trouble, don't worry," purred the tom, still smiling at her. "What herb?" he repeated, waiting for an answer as he heard her laugh ring out. Flowingstar tried to flick his tail but remembered he didn't have a long tail and coudn't flick it since he was a lynx.

"Burdock." Answered Coralinepaw after a moment where she had to think back and remember what herb she had been looking for. She found that she was enjoying the company of this tom- He was kind to her, whereas most leaders would have run her off by that point, not caring if she were a medicine cat or not.

He smiled and mewed, "Well I'll be right back." With that, Flowingstar walked off, to the closest patch of burdock. Minutes later he returned with a mouthful of burdock, clean and not broken. "Here you are, Coralinepaw," said the tom, placing down the herbs.

Coralinepaw dipped her head in a grateful manner,"Thank you! She meowed, satisfied with the good condition of the herbs. She pulled them over to her with her paw, and them blinked as she realized that, already, night was beginning to set. How long had she even been out of camp? It hadn't seemed like that long!

Flowingstar smiled. Just then, he noticed he had been out of camp for a while and others might be wondering. "I better go now, but if you ever need help again, come to the border," replied the tom, sending her another smile before turning around. "Goodbye, Coralinepaw," purred the tom, hoping his hint was obvious enough so that she took on and came again the next day.

Coralinepaw would be back alright. She found the WindClan leader to be kind and thoughtful, and she hadn't known that cats from other clans could be so nice. Sure, she was supposed to believe that kind of thing since she was a medicine cat in training, but she was still a ShadowClanner and as suspicious of other clans as most of her other clanmates,"Kay! G'bye!" She called over her shoulder through a jaw-full of burdock.
Ooc: Shall we time skip? :3

Ooc: You've just made this the best timeskip in the history of timeskips. xD
Ic: It wasn't at all a surprise when Coralinepaw found herself walking back to the WindClan border the next day. She hadn't even a good excuse planned out as to why she had gone- Just that she was going for a walk. That was always her excuse to get out of camp. She looked around once she reached the border and then quickly decided that she might as well have made herself look busy. She turned to a nearby hollow tree stump that had cobwebs draped inside of it.
